Each week at worship, we gather together to pray, sing, hear God's Word, to love and support each other and to share in the Lord's Supper. All who seek to meet the Risen Christ in the bread and the wine are invited to commune with us. In this way, we are strengthened to serve our neighbors beyond our doors, wherever God sends us.
Everything you need to follow the service is in one, easy to read bulletin. Dress is what ever you feel comfortable in. Most wear business casual. Some like to wear their Sunday best. But, if you are headed to the park after church, no one will care if you show up in shorts!
MZSL is a liturgical church, which means it isn't all about the pastor and what he or she does up front. At MZSL, worship is the work of the people together.
Worship begins with the organist playing a call to worship. The pastor then welcomes us and brings any news about current happenings in our church to keep everyone up to date. The worship continues with singing, prayers, reading the Bible, preaching and communion. We end with a song and leave the worship refreshed and ready to go out and love and serve others, as God leads us. S
With the Covid 19 crisis we have had to add precautions to our worship, which has changed the way we gather. At present, we offer in-person worship at 11:00 a.m.with masks and social distancing observed. We have two Sunday School classes that meet at 10:00 a.m.: Adults meet in the Lingle Room and the Youth meet upstairs in the education building. ,The other class has chosen to continue to meet Sunday Mornings by Zoom. Call the Church Office if you need an invite for Wendi martin's class.
Please see our homepage for full precautions for in-person worship.
